| Abstract | ||||
| The study aimed to identify the problems of the social environment associated with the care of juveniles in the institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Social Solidarity. The study relied on the comprehensive social survey approach for social workers and on a sample of juveniles in institutions. Data was collected through the following tools: a questionnaire for social workers in social care institutions to identify Their problems within social care institutions, a questionnaire for juveniles placed in institutions to identify the problems of the social environment related to their care in those institutions. The study was applied to all social workers working in the aforementioned institutions, numbering fifty specialists, and a sample of four hundred individual male and female juveniles placed in social care institutions. The results of the study concluded that there were statistically significant problems represented in the problems of the social environment, represented in the relationships between juveniles and each other - and juveniles with social workers within the institution and with the management of the institution, as well as problems between juveniles and their families. The study recommends the necessity of inheriting the foundations of trust between the juvenile and the social worker, paying attention to the problems of the juvenile’s social environment, whether with his family, his colleagues in the institution, or the management of the institution, and taking them into consideration in finding solutions and ways to mitigate their severity and intervene.
