| Abstract | ||||
| The ongoing study sought to examine the impact of incorporating peers’ collaborative dialogue (PCD) on enhancing willingness to communicate (WTC) and use of speech acts among EFL primary stage pupils. The study utilized a quasi-experimental design involving one experimental group and incorporating both pre-test and post-test measurements. The study included a total of thirty three sixth year EFL primary stage pupils. The participants were provided with instruction on the targeted speech acts and took part in role-playing exercises that involved different situations, necessitating their engagement in collaborative dialogues where utilizing speech acts appropriately was essential. The study employed two main instruments: a test intended to assess pupils’ production and use of speech acts, prepared by the researcher, and a scale intended to assess participants’ WTC. Both the scale and the test were conducted to the participants prior to and subsequent to the treatment. SPSS was used for processing data statistically. The study results outlined that engaging in PCD effectively enhanced the EFL primary stage pupils’ WTC and use of speech acts. | ||||
