| This research paper will concentrate on the old movie theatres in Egypt with a brief summary on the beginnings of cinema in Egypt, in an attempt to know something about the movie theatres before they disappear due to the dwindling numbers of spectators. Egypt was introduced to cinema around the same time as the rest of the world. The first paid movie screening to an audience was in Paris in 1895. By November 1896 there was a film screening in Alexandria. Egyptian movie production started soon afterwards and has since grown into the largest in the region. Some of the old movie theatres in the research are Cinema Metro in Cairo and Alexandria, Cinema Odeon, Cinema Radio, Cinema Cairo, and some other early cinemas, in an attempt to celebrate Egypt’s cinema identity which formulated the consciousness of the entire Arab world. سيركز هذا البحث على دور العرض السينمائية القديمة في مصر مع نبذة عن بدايات السينما في مصر، في محاولة لمعرفة بعض الأشياء عن دور العرض القديمة قبل أن تختفي بسبب الأعداد المتضائلة للمشاهدين. عرفت مصر السينما تقريبًا بنفس الوقت الذي بدأت فيه دوليًا. وعرض أول فيلم سينمائي بباريس بأجر للجمهور في 1895. وفي نوفمبر 1896 عرض أول فيلم سينمائي في الإسكندرية. بدأ الإنتاج السينمائي في مصر بعد هذا بفترة قصيرة، ومنذ ذلك الوقت نمت لتصبح الأكبر في المنطقة. ومن ضمن السينمات القديمة بالبحث سينما مترو بالقاهرة والإسكندرية، سينما أوديون، سينما راديو، سينما كايرو، وبعض سينمات مبكرة في محاولة للاحتفاء بالهوية السينمائية في مصر التي شكلت وجدان العالم العربي أجمع. | ||||
