Abstract | ||||
Two field experiments were conducted at the Experimental Farm, Gemmeiza Agriculture Research Station, Agricultural Research Center (ARC), Egypt during two growing seasons (2021 and 2022), to study the response of two maize hybrids (single cross 168 and single cross 180 ) to three potassium fertilizer levels i.e. without , 24 and 48 kg K2O /fad. and three spraying boron nutrition levels i.e. without , 400 and 800 mg/L B/fad. Concerning the obtained results, SC 180 out yielded SC 168 in grain yield ard./fad. (combined data) due to its superiority in days to 50% tassiling and silking, plant height and ear leaf area.Increase of boron fertilizer spraying (B) levels up to 800 mg/L B/fad., was followed by a significant increase in grain yield ard./fad. Meantime, plant height, ear height, ear leaf area . As will as the addition of boron fertilizer spraying (B) levels up to 800 mg/L B/fad. led to an earlier flowering on days to 50% tasseling and days to 50% silking. Addition of potassium fertilizer and spraying boron nutrition enhanced maize plant growth parameters (plant and ear height and ear leaf area). as was finally grain yield/fad . | ||||
