Abstract | ||||
ABSTRACT: In the exciting world of technology, the artificial intelligence (AI) emerges as an essential source of scientific knowledge for students and researchers, to such a degree that it sometimes deactivates the function of human thinking and diminishes the opportunities to acquire human skills of reflection and inference. . This work supports the regulated use of AI in the process of linguistic analysis. A pedagogical proposal is suggested for the contextual analysis of a literary work titled “The assassination of the language teacher” by Jordi Sierra i Fabra. This is a mystery novel with an attractive theme for graduate students and future researchers. They are assigned to carry out a contextual analysis based on specific questions and requests, relying on AI applications: Chat GPT as an example, in order to examine the limits and possibilities of the use of these applications, promoting reading and applying mental skills in linguistic research to result an effective inference with a nuance of personal identity. | ||||
