Abstract | ||||
Introduction:The treatment of telangiectasias and reticular veins is most commonly performed for aesthetic improvement,but up to 50% of these patients also report a variety of symptoms, from dull aching legs to throbbing pain over the telangiectasia.The most effective treatment for reticular veins and telangiectasias is sclerosing therapy.At three months, two, and three years following treatment, the combination of foam sclerotherapy and POL with a 1064 nm Nd:YAG long pulse laser has shown to be more effective than sclerotherapy alone.With encouraging outcomes, cryolaser and cryosclerotherapy guided by augmented reality (CLaCS) is a novel treatment option for reticular and feeder veins, as well as telangiectasias. Aim and Objective Assess the Outcome of CLaCS for management of telangiectasia and reticular veins regarding the satisfaction of the patient, recurrence of telangiectasia or reticular veins and incidence of any complications. Patient and Methods: It was a prospective analysis that was performed on 40 patients. Result: 38(95%) patients were satisfied with the outcome of CLACS while 2(5%) patients were not satisfied. Follow up of patients after 6 months showed significant pain improvement in 12 (30%) patients, moderate disappearance of telangiectasia in 12 (30%) patients and complete disappearance of telangiectasia in 16(40%) patients. There are two (5%) patients had skin irritation, 6(15%) patients had pigmentation, 2(5%) patients had superficial thrombophlebitis and 2(5%) patients had skin irritation.14 (35%) patients needed other intervention and 26 (65%) no need other intervention. Conclusion:CLaCS,combining cryo-laser and cryo-sclerotherapy, demonstrated superior efficacy and safety for treating telangiectasia and reticular veins. | ||||
