Abstract | ||||
The internship is considered as a shift from the academic world of the university to the world of business as it contributes to bridging the gap between these two different worlds (the university and business world); despite its impotence, sometimes internship programs are not very well organized and influence in a negative manner of student’s final perception of a certain domain. This research identified and analyzed the main factors that might influence the internship program from the students’ perspective. A questionnaire was designed to evaluate the field training (internship), distributed to 220 students, who have completed 70 credit hours in the Business Administration department. Furthermore, the responses were for 179 of the students. For data analysis, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was utilized. Three components have a significant impact on improving the internship program. The first component is related to the field supervisor. The second component is the internship guide and academic supervisor, where it represents more importance than the third component related to forms and procedures. Based on the results obtained, some recommendations were proposed to improve the implementation process of an internship program in the future. | ||||
