| Abstract | ||||
| The study aims to determine the nature of the relationship between economic growth, inequality of income distribution, and poverty in Egypt during the period (1998-2022), using a multiple linear regression analysis model. The study aimed to test the validity or falsehood of the proposed research hypotheses, which are there is an inverse correlation between inequality and GDP growth rate in Egypt, and there is an inverse correlation between poverty and GDP growth rate in Egypt. The study found an inverse correlation between both the inequality in income distribution, poverty and the growth rate in Egypt. In other words, reducing both inequality of income distribution and the level of poverty in Egyptian may enhancing the economic growth rate. Thus, the validity of the study hypotheses was confirmed. The study concluded that it is necessary for the Egyptian government to adopt appropriate policies to reduce the level of poverty and reducing inequality income distribution. These policies should focus on improving employment prospects, providing job opportunities for the poorest groups, and enhancing education and vocational training, and providing adequate job opportunities for youth and the poorest groups. | ||||
