Abstract | ||||
The circle is one of the shapes that has held a special place since the oldest civilizations, as the circular shape was used in many aspects of life, art and decoration. It is a distinctive formative unit that can achieve many formative possibilities and aesthetic values, through regular and irregular repetitions in addition to different overlays in the flat or three-dimensional shape. Its dimensions can also vary, so it goes from being a circle to other shapes, or it can be divided into different parts and sections, or it can take different textures and internal shapes through points or straight or curved or spiral lines and others, which can result in multiple regular or irregular shapes. The spiral shape arises from the continued rotation of the curved line in a circular direction gradually from the inside to the outside, and is found in nature through seashells, snails, some plants, hurricanes, spiral galaxies and others. The research problem is clear in the following question: To what extent can we find innovative formative formulations for the circular and spiral shapes and employ them as contemporary artistic works? The research aims to find innovative experimental approaches for the circle and spiral as formative elements that are artistically organized within the framework of the construction of the contemporary artistic work. And to employ some of the formative and technical capabilities of the synthetic plastic material in creating contemporary formations for the circle and spiral that have many artistic and formative values | ||||
