Abstract
يتناول البحث الاتجاهات الحديثة والمعاصرة في الجغرافيا الاجتماعية وجغرافية السكان في الفترة من 1995 إلى 2017، ويستعرض العلاقة الوثيقة بين هذين الفرعين من الجغرافيا. يشير البحث إلى أن الجغرافيا الاجتماعية تركز على العلاقة بين البيئة والمجتمع، وكيفية تأثير المجتمعات البشرية في إعادة تشكيل البيئات الحضرية والريفية. من جهة أخرى، تهتم جغرافية السكان بدراسة توزيع السكان، كثافتهم، وهجراتهم، وتأثير هذه العوامل على المجتمعات والبيئات التي يعيشون فيها. واستعرض الباحث استخدام الأدوات الحديثة مثل نظم المعلومات الجغرافية (GIS) لتحليل البيانات السكانية والعوامل البيئية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية، كما أشار إلى تأثير العولمة على الهوية الثقافية وتشكيل الفضاءات الحضرية. كما ناقش البحث قضايا مثل التفاوت الاجتماعي، الإقصاء الاجتماعي، والجغرافيا البيئية، والهجرة الداخلية والدولية. عبر استعراض أهم الأبحاث المنشورة في المجلات العلمية المتخصصة، يبين البحث أن هذه المجالات شهدت تطورًا كبيرًا في التركيز على قضايا الهوية، التهميش، والفقر، إضافة إلى تأثير الهجرات البشرية على التوزيع السكاني والنمو الاقتصادي. وخلص البحث إلى أن الجغرافيا الاجتماعية وجغرافية السكان تتقاطعان في العديد من المجالات، خاصة في دراسة تأثير التغيرات الاجتماعية والبيئية على السكان. This research explores the contemporary and modern trends in social geography and population geography between 1995 and 2017, highlighting the strong connection between these two branches of geography. Social geography focuses on the relationship between society and the environment, emphasizing how human communities reshape urban and rural environments. On the other hand, population geography examines the distribution, density, and migration of populations, as well as the impact of these factors on societies and the environments in which they live. The study reviews the use of modern tools, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), for analyzing demographic, environmental, economic, and social data. It also addresses the influence of globalization on cultural identity and the shaping of urban spaces. Furthermore, the research discusses critical issues such as social inequality, social exclusion, environmental geography, and both internal and international migration. By reviewing key research published in specialized scientific journals, the study demonstrates significant developments in focusing on issues such as identity, marginalization, and poverty, along with the impact of human migration on population distribution and economic growth. The research concludes that social geography and population geography intersect in various areas, particularly in studying the effects of social and environmental changes on populations.
