Abstract | ||||
This study aims to assess the habits of systems thinking in kindergarten children. Methodology: A specialized test was designed, consisting of three distinct activities to assess the systems thinking habits of each child individually. The research sample included 30 children, aged 5-6 years, enrolled in the second level of kindergarten at Al-Agezi Primary School, within the Western Tanta Educational Administration under the Directorate of Education in El-Gharbia Governorate, during the academic year 2023/2024. Psychometric validation of the test was ensured through the application of various statistical methods. The findings revealed that the habits most appropriate for systems thinking in kindergarten children include: reciprocal thinking, seeking causal relationships, perseverance for accuracy, considering consequences, appreciating the impact of time, and striving for a holistic understanding of the system. Furthermore, the systems thinker habits test developed for kindergarten children was proven to be a valid and reliable instrument for assessing these cognitive habits. The study recommends adopting this test as a primary tool for measuring the level of systems thinker habits in kindergarten children, and further suggests that these habits be incorporated into curricula and activities tailored for this developmental stage | ||||
