| ملخص البحث تتميز منطقة غرب افريقيا بموقع استراتيجي، وثروات طبيعية متنوعة لها أهميتها على الصعيد العالمي، ولكنها تعاني من مشكلات عدة أبرزها وجود حركات إرهابية ومتطرفة اثرت بشكل كبير على امن واستقرار دول غرب افريقيا سياسياً وامنياً واقتصادياً واجتماعياً، ونظراً لمحدودية إمكانات هذه الدول أضطرها الى الاستعانة بالقوى الدولية لمحاربة الإرهاب فيها، ويبرز في هذا الخصوص الولايات المتحدة وفرنسا. الكلمات المفتاحية: غرب افريقيا، الساحل الافريقي، الارهاب، الولايات المتحدة، فرنسا. International Counter-Terrorism Strategies in West Africa since 2014 Abstract The West African region is distinguished by its strategic location and diverse natural resources that are important on the global level, but it suffers from several problems, the most prominent of which is the presence of terrorist and extremist movements that have greatly affected the security and stability of the West African countries politically, security-wise, economically and socially. Given the limited capabilities of these countries, they have been forced to seek the help of international powers to fight terrorism in them, and the United States and France stand out in this regard.
