Abstract | ||||
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and epilepsy are two prevalent neurological disorders that commonly coexist. ASD and epilepsy have a complicated and overlapping association that involves common developmental, neurological, and genetic mechanisms. The frequency, possible causes, clinical ramifications, and treatment approaches for seizures in people with autism are reviewed in this article. Effective diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and support for patients and their families depend on an understanding of this interaction. | ||||
