Abstract | ||||
Summary: Throughout history, humanity has known several wars in which horrific human rights violations occurred. It is the oldest and most important international crime that has attracted the attention of the international community. War crimes result from violations of the law of war or international humanitarian law, and expose a person to individual criminal liability. The problem posed by the study is to determine the elements and effects of the individual’s international criminal responsibility for war crimes. In this study, the researcher followed the analytical approach and the descriptive approach to determine the definition of war crimes and the elements and effects of individual international criminal responsibility. in answer to this problem, the researcher addressed the elements of the individual’s international criminal responsibility for war crimes in a first section and the effects of the individual’s international criminal responsibility for war crimes in a second section. | ||||
