| Abstract | ||||
| Night lighting plays an important role in the process of visual formation of building facades, as it highlights the identity of the building and contributes to the formation of the visual image of the urban environment. However, some designers may overlook the importance of following scientific principles and important technical considerations when it comes to the distribution of lighting units on building facades, which represents the research issue... The aim of the research paper is to extract certain criteria and principles that help the architectural designer in the distribution of lighting for facades in order to highlight the aesthetics of the architectural formation. By analyzing some global and local models from the cities of Minya and New Minya, shedding light on the strengths and weaknesses of their facade lighting designs to achieve functional and aesthetic compatibility of the building as well as harmony with the surrounding urban environment and contribute to enriching the aesthetics of architectural technical elements and using colors effectively to create distinctive aesthetic and psychological effects. | ||||
