Abstract | ||||
Aim: Retention Evaluation of a CAD- CAM Milled Removable Partial Frameworks (PEEK) Against zircon Crowns in Mandibular Kennedy Class I Cases Methods: Six frameworks were constructed from polyetheretherketone (PEEK) material were used on a model; simulating a mandibular Kennedy class I situation; was used. Retention was tested, recorded and the mean was calculated at the time of insertion (T zero) then after 120 (T1), 360 (T2), 720 (T3), 1080 (T4) and 1440 (T5) cycles. Results: The retention at baseline (1.02 ± 0.2) was significantly the highest, then after 3 months significantly decreased to (0.70 ± 0.11), and after 12 months significantly decreased to (0.49 ± 0.01). There was insignificant difference between baseline (1.02 ± 0.2) and after 1 month (0.95± 0.03). There was insignificant difference between after 3months (0.7± 0.11), after 6 months (0.6± 0.11), and after 9 months (0.56 ± 0.12). There was insignificant difference between after 6 months (0.6± 0.11), after 9 months (0.56 ± 0.12), and after 12 months (0.49 ± 0.01). Conclusion: Within the limitations of this study the retention at baseline was significantly the highest as the retention decreased from baseline, then after 3 months, and after 12 months. | ||||
