Abstract | ||||
A novel carbohydrazone Schiff base chelate, [Zn(L)(Cl)(H2O)].Cl, was successfully synthesized and its structural features were comprehensively characterized through elemental analysis (CHN), FT-IR, UV-visible spectroscopy, and conductance measurements. In addition, computational studies were carried out using material studio 2017. The optimized geometry and frontier molecular orbitals of the isolated complex were computed. Finally, the antimicrobial efficacy of the isolated complex were evaluated. The zinc complex showed potency against most tested strians, except for Listeria and Aspergillus. | ||||
