| Abstract | ||||
| ملخص قد أدّى ظهورُ معجمَ (( الجمهرة ِ)) لأبي بكرٍ بنُ دريدٍ في مرحلةٍ مبكّرةٍ منْ تاريخِ الصّنعةِ المعجمـيّةِ إلى أن تلقّاهُ العلماءُ بالتّـرحيبِ؛ لشهرةِ مؤلّفِهِ في اللغةِ، ولحاجةِ العصرِ إلى معجمٍ جديدٍ، يسدُّ ما في معجمِ العينِ منْ نقصٍ، ويتلافى ما فيه من عيوبٍ، ثم تبيـّن لبعضِهمْ فيه ما يُكَدَّرُ الصّفوُ، فنشأتْ طائفةٌ تقدحُ فيه، وتذمُّ مؤلّفَهُ ، وأنكرَ بعضُهم ما جاءَ فيه من ألفاظٍ ، وكَثُرَ الطَّعْنُ فيه. summary The appearance of the dictionary “Al-Jamhara” by Abu Bakr bin Duraid at an early stage in the history of the lexicographic industry led to scholars welcoming it. Because of the fame of its author in the language, and because of the age’s need for a new dictionary, which would fill the shortcomings in the existing dictionary and avoid the defects in it. Then it became clear to some of them that what disturbed its purity, so a sect arose that criticized it, disparaged its author, and some of them denied the words it contained. There was much objection to it. | ||||
