Abstract | ||||
A field study was conducted in Bani Walid Ali city, at 180 km from the southeast of Tripoli city, and this study was conducted in different four villages of Bani Walid city in 2017/2018 A.D season. Among the locations suggested for the experiment, the samples were taken from all the locations (Wadi Sof Al-Jin, WSA; Wadi Dinar, WD; Wadi Ghobin, WG; and Wadi Bani Walid, WBW) in random methods to carry out physical and chemical soil analyses. The results showed that the consistency of Bani Walid valley ranges from loamy to loam sandy soils, the apparent soil bulk density (SBD) during study is between (1.2-1.5 g/cm2) and the surface area of this soil is between (10-24 m). The salted water of this soil ranges from the low to the high salt level (0.32- 0.70 dSm-1). As the percentage of salts ranges from (0.30 to 15.10%), that its low to high salinity, and the pH soil ranges from (7.2 to 8.2), its ranges from neutral to alkaline soil, and the ratio of Ca, Mg and Cl was between 1-39, 0.8-19.5 and 1-2.3, respectively. While bicarbonate value ranges between (0.20 - 1.40%), soil organic matter ranges from (0.86 - 3.12%). The percentages of calcium carbonate are (2.00-27.00%). So, it's recommended to optimal use of this soils mast use good irrigation water and organic fertilizers, such as compost to increase soil fertility, productivity. Also, provides good soil tillage at different depths and aeration. | ||||
