| Abstract | ||||
| Background: Upper extremity lymphedema is a disorder that frequently develops after mastectomy as a result of the lymphatic system being disrupted. This condition leads to physical, psychological, and social challenges. The use of culturally adapted, valid, and reliable tools is essential for assessing impairments and guiding interventions. Purpose: This study's objective was to translate Arabically, test content validity, assess internal consistency reliability, and test-retest reliability of the Lymphedema Functioning, Disability, and Health Questionnaire (Lymph ICF) in its Arabic version, For those with post-mastectomy lymphedema. Subjects and Methods: Ten specialists and eighty-six patients with grade 1-2 upper limb lymphedema following mastectomy participated in the study. For generating an Arabic version of Lymph ICF, Forward and backward translations were conducted, followed by development of the pre-final and final translated versions of Lymph ICF. A total of 167 forms of Arabic Lymph ICF (test and re-test forms) were completed by the patients. Statistical analysis was conducted using expert relevance proportion, content validity index, Cronbach's alpha, and Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). Results: For the Arabic version of Lymph ICF, the expert relevance proportion was 96.89% and the Scale-Level content validity index (S-CVI) was 96.9%, the Item-Level Content Validity Index (I-CVI) for each item is ranged from 0.8 to 1.0, the Cronbach’s alpha for the Arabic version was 0.761, and the ICC for the total score was 0.88 (95% CI: 0.744–0.935). Conclusion: The Arabic version of Lymph ICF is valid and reliable Questionnaire for evaluating deficits in patients suffering from lymphedema following mastectomy | ||||
