Abstract | ||||
The research mainly aimed to identify the attitudes of farmers' wives towards raising poultry at home in Armania village, Itay El-Baroud district, Beheira governorate. A random sample of 100 female respondents was taken from the wives of farmers who hold the title from the records of the agricultural cooperative society in the village. The data were collected by questionnaire and personal interview. Many statistical methods were used, such as percentages, range, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Pearson's simple correlation, and multiple regression. The most important research results were as follows: 37% of the respondents have positive attitudes towards raising poultry, while the attitudes of nearly two-thirds of the respondents (63%) are negative or neutral, which requires guiding them in this regard and working to change their undesirable negative attitudes and modify their neutral attitudes and transform them into positive attitudes. At the same time, work must be done to support their positive attitudes so that they can raise poultry at home. The value of the partial regression coefficient for the veterinary communication variable reached 0.742, and it is responsible alone for explaining about 23.1% of the possible variance in the attitudes of the respondents. | ||||
