Abstract | ||||
This study investigates the concept of digitization, addressing its historical development, implementation stages, definitions, benefits, challenges, and essential requirements. It evaluates the feasibility of applying digitization at the Faculty of Arts, Beni - Suef University, focusing on the availability of financial, technical, and human resources, as well as its impact on institutional performance. Using a descriptive-analytical and case study approach, data were collected through direct observation and interviews with departmental staff. The findings reveal a significant lack of resources necessary for effective digitization. However, digitization was found to enhance efficiency, reduce document loss and accumulation, and support document preservation. The study recommends institutional adoption of digitization, establishment of secure storage units, provision of adequate resources, user training, system policy development, and regular technological updates to ensure successful implementation. | ||||
