| Abstract | ||||
| This study aimed to evaluate Safeer2 system’s usability from the perspective of its Saudi scholarship student users as well as provide suitable suggestions and recommendations for improving its usability in light of digital transformation strategies. An evaluative research method was applied to Safeer2 system from a user-centered perspective. The study population included all Saudi scholarship students in the United Kingdom during the 2024 academic year from which a convenience sample consisting of 231 students was selected. To collect data, a survey questionnaire was prepared to evaluate Safeer2 system’s usability from the perspective of participant Saudi scholarship students covering the following eleven major factors/dimensions, i.e. effectiveness, system performance, ease of navigation, information quality, error tolerance, privacy, system customization, learnability, accessibility, support and communication, and overall satisfaction. Following data analysis, the study results revealed that the overall mean score of the questionnaire respondents was 3.379, thus highlighting a “moderate” usability level for Safeer2 system as a high-tech information system as perceived by its users. Notably, three dimensions, respectively, enjoyed a “high” usability level: effectiveness, privacy, and overall satisfaction while the remaining eight dimensions had a “moderate” usability level. Furthermore, significant differences were found in participant Saudi scholarship students’ perceptions regarding Safeer2 system’s usability based on their own demographic variables: gender, current scholarship status, and Safeer2 system’s use duration. . Based on such findings, some suggestions and recommendations were eventually proposed to enhance Safeer2 system’s usability in the foreseeable future, particularly focusing on improving the quality of delivered information. | ||||
