Abstract
The study aimed to learn about sustainable development and its relationship to social responsibility in the media perspective, through the case study of the Egyptian radio, as well as to identify the nature of the media treatment of sustainable development issues within the radio programmes directed to society. To achieve the objectives of the study, a list was designed. A survey to collect preliminary data from the study sample from the communicators and programmers on the Egyptian radio through personal interviews. The results of the study found that there is a statistically significant correlation between the societal role of the Egyptian radio and the promotion of social responsibility. The results of several recommendations have been concluded, the most important of which are: working to update the media plan for the Egyptian radio’s contribution to achieving sustainable development in accordance with the developments and economic, social and environmental variables, as well as the interest in including specialized programs to cover the goals and dimensions of sustainable development and the vision of Egypt. 2030", within programs and open periods to ensure an increase in development awareness doses for the audience of listeners.
