| Abstract | ||
| Using a 'good' conventional estimate of the scale parameter of the two-parameter Weibull failure model, an improved estimate is obtained using Maritz [2] aligning of estimates method. The estimate obtained is optimal in the sense of minimizing the ove-rall expected loss. The minimum value is pointed out. The reliability function corresponding to the Weibull model is obta-ined using this estimate. | ||
