Abstract | ||||
Objective: to compare the clinical and radiographic outcomes of Densah burs versus osteotomes in transcrestal sinus lift procedures with simultaneous implant placement. Methods: Twelve patients were randomly divided into two groups: Group I using Densah burs for transcrestal sinus lift procedures for implant installation and Group II using osteotomes. Clinical parameters: sinus membrane integrity, implant stability. Radiographic parameters: bone density, bone height gain, and marginal bone height by (CBCT scans). Results: Both techniques showed successful implant integration, no case of sinus membrane perforation was reported. Group I exhibited significantly higher primary and secondary implant stability than Group II. Additionally, significant improvements in bone density and height at 6 months post-operation were observed in Group I compared to Group II. Both groups showed no significant differences in marginal bone height. Conclusion: Densah burs showed better results in terms of implant stability, bone density, and height gains compared to osteotomes, without compromising safety. These results suggested that Densah burs may be preferable for enhancing the structural conditions necessary for successful implant integration in transcrestal sinus lift procedures. | ||||
