Abstract
A research Lab. trial was conducted out at Central Lab. of the Central Administration for Seed Testing and Certification, Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Egypt, thru June and July 2023 to test the reaction of seed priming of different rice cultivars (Giza 178, Giza 179, Giza 177, and Sakha 108) with Chitozan and proline acid at various ratios and their mixture to germination features under salt stress (0, 4, 8, and 12 dSm-1 of NaCl). The factorial experimentation was conducted in a entirely randomised design with 4 repetitions. The greatest estimates of germination qualities were generated from Giza 179 cultivar, followed by Giza 178, Giza 177 and Sakha 108 cultivars. The highest values of Germination traits were created by seed priming via a mix of Chitozan at 0.25% and proline acid at 10 mM, followed by seed priming via Chitozan at 0.25%, then seed priming via proline acid at 10 mM. The maximum estimates of germination qualities were acquired from lacking saltiness tension, respected by saltiness tension at 4-12 dSm-1 of NaCl. Built on the outcomes of this consideration, it is recommended that rice cultivars (Giza 178, Giza 179, Giza 177, and Sakha 108) be primed with a mixture of 0.25% Chitozan and 10 mM proline acid to optimize germination parameters under saltiness tension.
