Abstract | ||||
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s announcement that the year 2022 would be the year of civil society organizations was an announcement of an important part of the supreme Egyptian national goal stipulated in the constitution, which is for Egypt to be a modern, democratic, civil state. This goal has two aspects: an intellectual and theoretical aspect, which embodies the state of citizenship and its people of citizens, and a practical aspect, which is embodied in the various forms and organizations of civil society, which stand side by side with the public state institutions, and the economic and social activity carried out by individuals or the private sector. Deepening its role and contributions and solving the problems associated with it and the obstacles it faces would achieve qualitative shifts on the ground, as it is closer to the citizen and better able to identify his needs and problems. Countries that work in partnership with civil society organizations will have a more effective and rapid response and policies than others. The role of these organizations is centered around Civil society can achieve comprehensive development by integrating its work with the state and the private sector. Civil society organizations have the responsibility of preparing various cadres to achieve this. This task stems from the definition of civil society organizations as being the mediator between the people and the regime. | ||||
