Abstract | ||||
Civil society organizations (CSOs) play a pivotal role in supporting Students with special needs, as their care constitutes a shared societal responsibility, with CSOs working alongside the state to fulfill this duty. This study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, reviewing and analyzing 59 previous studies, to propose a framework defining CSOs' role in caring for and rehabilitating Students with special needs. The findings outline CSOs' key functions, including: (1) providing essential services such as healthcare and assistive devices; (2) developing educational and rehabilitation programs, including inclusive curricula and vocational training; (3) offering psychosocial support for Students and families; (4) raising awareness about the characteristics and needs of this population; and (5) advocating for their legal rights and policy inclusion. The proposed vision emphasizes the need for collaboration between CSOs and the state to ensure effective inclusion and sustainable development for Students with special needs.
