The research methodology is first studying the traditional methods of citizen participation, then studying the advantages and disadvantages of these methods; second, studying the methods of citizen participation with the digital twin technology and the advantages and disadvantages of these methods also. Then a comparison between the two methods is done in terms of the most effective keys of success of the citizen participation processes, which are accessibility, reach, engagement, time, data collection, visualization, cost, and data privacy.
