Abstract | ||||
This study was carried out during 2022 and 2023 seasons on ʽSewiʼ date palm under the surface irrigation system in a private orchard at El-Frafra Oasis district Governorate, Egypt. This study was carried out to study the effect of foliar spray with different iron forms, i.e., iron nanoparticles (Nano-Fe), besides two traditional iron forms, ferrous sulfate (FeSO4.7H2O), and Fe-chelate (Fe-EDTA), on the productivity and fruit quality of date palm. Each iron source was applied five times per season at a one-month interval (in the 1st week of March, April, May, June, and July). covering the whole foliage of each tree canopy, whereas 10 liters were found to be sufficient in this regard. Besides, it is periodically applied five times per season at a one-month interval (in the 1st week of March, April, May, June, and July). The obtained results showed that all iron forms induced a remarked promotion in productivity and fruit quality compared with control. Nano-Fe at 100 ppm is application significantly superior in this concern compared comparable to other iron treatments., Thus, spray Nano-Fe at 100 ppm five times per season is a suitable application for improving yield and enhancing fruit quality of ʽSewiʼ date palm. traits | ||||
