| Abstract | ||||
| the main objective of this paper is to fine analytical and numerical study to consider the effects of time-delayed velocity feedback on a passive control of linear mass spring damper system subject to harmonic external force. The first order approximate solution is applying the multiple scales perturbation technique (MSPT) to analyze the nonlinear behavior of this model. Studying the stability of the obtained numerical solution is investigated by using the phase plane methods and the frequency response equation in conjunction with the resonance cases ( ). We find that, adding the absorber minimizes amplitude of vibration in case of the steady-state, so we can control the effective stiffness associated to the passive absorber. The problem has been solved by using the runge-kutta method. Effects of different parameters on the system behavior are studied numerically by using MATLAB program. Finally, a comparison of previously published work is done at the end of this work. | ||||
