Abstract | ||||
Between August 2019 and November 2019, a Sum of 148 specimens were taken from various patient sources, including urine, sputum, tonsils, and vaginal swabs, and from both sexes. The ages of these patients varied from 1 to 69.Of them, 48 were men and 85 were women. The findings showed that the majority of patients (20–29 years old) were more likely to become infected than patients in other age groups (56.3%). Of these patients, women were more likely to become infected (63.9%) than men (36%). The results showed that 133 samples (89.86%) had positive results for culture bacteria, while 15 samples (10.13%) had negative results; biochemical assays were used for initial identification. Identification using the Vitek 2 technology was completed at last.42 isolates of E. Coli, 31 isolates of proteus mirabilis, 25 isolates of K. pneumoniae, 21 isolates of staphylococcus spp., 7 isolates of streptococcus spp., 3 isolates of M. morganii spp., and 4 isolates of other bacteria are shown by the results. P. mirabilis and Morganella morganii isolates tested positive for amikacin and resistant to penicillin in terms of antibiotic susceptibility. The outcome showed that M. Morganella had aadA1 and blaATM genes, while all P. mirabilis have motA and motB genes. | ||||
