Abstract | ||||
The research aims to explore the design of Taiji training to determine its impact on improving the level of skill performance represented in the performance of some special skills (Deng tui , Dan Bai Jiao) and the performance of the style (quality of movements, overall performance, and difficulties) of Wushu players. The researcher used the experimental method with a single-group design using pre- and post-tests to suit the nature of the research. The research population was selected from the upper-level Wushu players of the age group (20-22) years for boys at the TERSANA Club, registered with the Egyptian Wushu Kung Fu Federation, for the 2023/2024 training season. The research sample was intentionally selected and consisted of (32) players. The researcher presented the questionnaire to 10 experts to determine the suitability and adequacy of the Taiji training content for the Wushu players under study, namely: (Yang - Wu - Hao - Chen - Sun). Taiji training was applied to the research group members during (36) training units, with Taiji training being implemented in the concluding part of the training unit. The results showed statistically significant differences between the average scores of the pre- and post-tests and the percentages of improvement the performance of some special skills (Deng tui , Dan Bai Jiao) and the performance of the style (quality of movements, overall performance, and difficulties) of the Wushu players, in favor of the post-test. | ||||
