Abstract | ||||
The study mainly aimed to study the attitudes of Bedouin youth towards self-employment in Al-Tur district in South Sinai Governorate, through the following sub-objectives: Describing the attitudes of Bedouin youth surveyed towards self-employment in the study area, determining the relationship between some personal, social and economic characteristics of the respondents and their attitudes towards self-employment, identifying the reasons for the reluctance of Bedouin youth to self-employment, and finally identifying the proposals of Bedouin youth to overcome the problems that prevent them from self-employment.The study was conducted in the village of Jubail in the district of Al-Tur, which is the largest village in the total number of Bedouin youth in the age group of (20-35) years, and a regular random sample of (313) Bedouin youth was selected. The data was collected through a questionnaire collected through a personal interview. In analyzing the data of this study, where some descriptive statistical methods, in addition to the use of both the chi-square and the simple Pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results showed that about 7.67% of the respondents had a negative attitude towards self-employment, and that about half of the total research sample had a neutral attitude towards self-employment, by 41.21% and that 51.12%, of the respondents had a positive attitude towards self-employment. The results show that the largest percentage of young people surveyed had a positive attitude towards self-employment. | ||||
