Abstract | ||||
This study was carried out at the Vegetable Research Department, Dokki, Giza, in 1 990 and 1991, tp compare four climbing and dwarf bean cultivars grown at different plant densities under open field conditions. Cultivar Nelda gave highest yield, with longest and heaviest pod weight, beside least fiber content than all other tested cultivars. Plant population had a marked effect on total yield and 4 plants/hill was the best treatment used. However, it had no marked effect on pod quality. | ||||
