| Abstract | ||
| Spectral analysis of biogenic silver nano-particles (AgNPs) produced by Fusarium keratoplasticum A1-3 showed absorption at 400 nm which is used as a monitor for the formation of silver nanoparticles. TEM analysis indicated the formation of spherical AgNPs in size range from 6 to 36 nm. The band at 1650.13 cm−1 in FTIR analysis refers to the binding vibrations of amide I band of protein with N–H stretching band. XRD pattern of Ag-NPs indicated silver Ag crystalline phase indexed; the particle size of the so obtained AgNPs was poly dispersed mixture with diameter average of 54.33 (92.7%) with Zeta potential (mV) -23.7. AgNPs were applied to enhance antibacterial properties of cotton fabric with 86% and 93% growth reduction of test pathogenic bacterial strains. | ||
