Abstract | ||||
Background: our study looked at the preoperative echocardiographic index that could predict LV reversal remodelling after surgery in patients with reduced LVEF and chronic severe AR. Methods: Between February 2024 and march 2025, a cohort prospective study was conducted in the Cardiology Department. Sixty three patients included in this study . Conventional Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) was performed in the preperative perid and at one year post operative A year after AVR, the patients were divided into two groups: Group I consisted of patients who had reverse LV remodelling, and Group II consisted of patients who did not. Prior to surgery, low-dose DSE was done on each patient. Results : This one year research comprised 63 patientsWe evaluated the predictive relevance of DSE for assessment of post operative left ventricular reverse remodeling in patients with severe ARSurgery on 63 individuals' AV was performed.We classified normal LVEF and LVESDi (postoperative LVEF > 55% and LVESDi ≤22mm/m2) as reverse LV remodelling based on echocardiographic observations one year following AVR. It was discovered that Δ LV GLS was the sole independent predictor of reverse LV remodelling (P = 0.03, odds ratio = 1.17). STE parameters have a significantly larger AUC than conventional echocardiographic parameters. 80% was the sensitivity, 74% was the specificity, and 12.35% was the threshold. and the Δ LVEF displayed an acceptable predictive value (AUC = 0.83). however LV GLS showed The sensitivity and specificity were 89% and 84%, respectively . | ||||
