Abstract | ||||
To align with the contemporary lifestyle, the concept of multifunctional and smart furniture has emerged to enhance the efficiency of flexible interior design. Amid the growing focus on sustainability, smart furniture plays a significant role in maximizing space utilization, achieving both environmental and economic sustainability by reducing material consumption, creating multifunctional spaces, and optimizing the use of small and shared areas. This is achieved by enabling a single piece of furniture to meet diverse user needs. The research explores how to strike a balance between innovation and sustainability through smart furniture to preserve resources, provide functional comfort at economical costs, and leverage technological advancements. This adaptation addresses contemporary challenges such as space shortages due to population density, evolving and diverse user needs, and the pursuit of a sustainable lifestyle. Using the descriptive-analytical method, the study aspires to promote sustainability principles through smart furniture, enhance the quality of spaces, and integrate technology with design. | ||||
