| Abstract | ||||
| elements, we can see that they appear to be very different from one another, yet they are complementary, and their meeting leads to continuity, which signifies life. The pop-up book design, an artistic aspect, emerged to link sustainability and identity, two of today's most pressing issues. However, today's globalization is attempting to obscure the characteristics of identity, posing an immediate threat. Nonetheless, there is one common denominator between contemporary (globalization) and authentic (heritage identity), and that is the human measure. To preserve this human measure, the combining of two opposing poles is frequent. Globalization is not synonymous with identity, which is why there is a global approach to creativity. In this context, art plays an important role and serves as a mirror for society. Every area of life involves creative design, and the artist is generally responsible for upholding the cause of identity and working on its development in human society and all its fields. The research here focuses on the topic of book design. The design of the pop-up book is an example of how art can help to develop identity in society. The role of this type of field is not only based on this, but also extends to a more crucial issue of sustainability through the materials used to create this type of book. | ||||
