Abstract | ||||
Research Summary: The glass industry is a significant industry that plays a pivotal role in numerous sectors, such as products, construction, packaging, furniture, and more. With growing awareness of environmental, social, and economic challenges, the concept of "value-based design" is emerging as a promising approach to reimagining and developing glass products. This approach goes beyond the traditional functional and aesthetic aspects of design, but rather encompasses the integration of the values of diverse stakeholders into all stages of the design and production process. Value-based design is a modern approach to product development, focusing on achieving the highest possible value for users by improving product quality and reducing costs. In the field of glass products, this approach can have a significant impact on improving performance and quality, enhancing manufacturers' competitiveness in the global market. Despite the significant potential of value-based design in developing sustainable, safe, and value-added glass products, its adoption still faces challenges in the glass industry. There is a need for a deeper understanding of how value-based design principles can be effectively applied in this industry, an assessment of its impact on various aspects of glass products, and the identification of factors that promote or hinder its widespread adoption | ||||
