Abstract
Set design is a fundamental element in the film industry, contributing to creating visual worlds that immerse viewers in a unique experience. With the evolution of the film industry and increasing audience expectations, set designers face continuous challenges in innovating creative designs. Therefore, this highlights the importance of "thinking methodologies" as essential tools for creative problem-solving, which influence their design style and shape their artistic vision. This research aims to explore the thinking methodologies by the production designer "Hossam" in his designs, which include "Design Thinking," "Conceptual thinking," and "Creative thinking." These methodologies help in generating creative ideas, developing practical solutions in design, and significantly impacting cinematic set design and the designer's vision. This will be achieved through a case study of the series "Paranormal” by analyzing Hossam's thinking stages and the application of design thinking, to clarify the basic elements of his approach and design style in set design.
