Abstract | ||||
Background: The Egyptian Ministry of Health has unveiled a comprehensive new initiative aimed at improving maternal and fetal health., Aim of study: assess perception of pregnant women regarding the ministry of health initiative for “supporting Maternal and Fetal health. Design: A descriptive study designed was utilized to conduct the study. Setting: Family Health Centers at Beni-Suef City. Sample: convenient sample through 3 months which include 140 of pregnant women , Tools: four tools were used; Tool (I): structured interviewing questionnaire, Tool (II): Knowledge assessment questionnaire, Tool (III): attitude assessment questionnaire, Tool (IV): satisfaction assessment questionnaires. The results: less than three quarter of the studied pregnant women had unsatisfactory level of knowledge , more than two third of the studied pregnant women had negative attitude, while the remaining of them had positive attitude regarding the ministry of health initiative , two third of the studied pregnant women had high satisfaction level , while the remaining of them had moderate and low level of satisfaction. Conclusion: The research questions were addressed based on the findings of the current study, and it was determined that less than three quarter of the sample had inaccurate knowledge of initiatives, more than two thirds of the tested sample showed a negative attitude toward initiatives In addition, for the two third of the sample had high satisfaction level regarding the ministry of health initiative. Recommendations: In Services: Publishing posters containing services provided during health initiative for supporting maternal and fetal health in all different health care settings. | ||||
