| Abstract | ||||
| Background: the most prevalent causes of maternal & neonatal morbidity also mortality involve preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction (FGR). Objectives: This research aimed to evaluate the enoxaparin efficacy in conjunction with high-risk care for preeclampsia prevention & fetal growth restriction in females suffer from these illnesses by measuring soluble tyrosine kinase. Patients and methods: This potential controlled clinical trial was performed on forty ladies who were pregnant participants between twelve & sixteen weeks pregnancy, singleton& at risk of preeclampsia & IUGR depend on their pregnancy and delivery history attending an obstetric clinic at Al-Azhar University Hospitals and Benha Teaching Hospital. The studied groups were: Group I: Twenty patients received enoxaparin and standard care. Group II: Twenty patients received standard care alone. Results: Group I demonstrated significantly lower recurrent pre-eclampsia (25% vs. 65%, P=0.011), placental abruption and post-partum hemorrhage (15% vs. 40% for each) but with borderline significance (P=0.077 for each). No significant difference was observed regarding eclampsia (P=1.0). Analysis of multivariate The model based on The logit model of regression was performed to predict recurrence of pre-eclampsia. The use of enoxaparin was statistically significant in association with 86% risk reduction of recurrence (OR=0.139, 95% CI=0.03-0.636, P=0.011), controlling for age, BMI, gestational age, gravidity, and parity. Conclusion: Enoxaparin, when used in conjunction with routine high-risk care causes less preeclampsia& small-for-gestational-age births to occur in later pregnancies (OR equal 0.139, 95% CI equal 0.03-0.636, P equal 0.011), controlling for age, BMI, gestational age, gravidity, and parity. | ||||
