| Background: Resistant H. pylori infection progresses into a stepwise histological progression from chronic gastritis to various mucosal changes including atrophy, intestinal metaplasia (IM), dysplasia, and finally gastric adenocarcinoma intestinal type. We conducted a cross section study to assess the validity and accuracy of virtual Chromo-endoscopy BLI in detection of H. Pylori related atrophic gastritis. Methods: we enrolled 50 patients in the endoscopic unit of El-Sayed Galal Hospital during the period from December 2022 to July 2023. We utilized High-definition white-light (HDWL) endoscopy to identify any structural irregularities, then we switched to BLI mode to analyze the mucosal and vascular abnormalities of the gastric mucosa, specifically targeting areas for biopsy. Patients were divided into two groups according to histopathology findings non-atrophic and atrophic groups. Results: we found that chronic NSAID use was associated with atrophic gastritis.
