Folk tales are considered some of the most famous forms of folk literature in which the character of AL WAZEER (the minister) and his relation to the subjects appears. These tales are characterized by narration which gives enough room for the description of the characters in detail and focuss on the reality that people experience whether political, social, or economical. In addition, these tales are closely connected to the conditions of the society in which they appeared. This study depends on examples from Arabic and Persian folk tales collected from various areas or tribes in Iran and Egypt; this can lead to revealing the various viewpoints in different regions among different tribes inside Iran and Egypt regarding the status of the minister. This study aims at: recognising the minister and his role or status, identifying the most important ministries that appeared in the tales, revealing the minister's status in the eyes of the subjects in Arabic and Persian folk tales, and showing the most important qualities of the minister in these tales. This study depends on the comparative appraoch; it also pays attention to other critical approaches, such as the critical and anaylictical methods in order to reach the target results. | ||||
