Abstract | ||||
In his novel "Frog", the writer Mo Yan integrates the culture of naming, proving that symbolic thinking and symbolic behavior are among the most representative features of human life. Therefore, the author’s focus on the cultural characteristics of names is not a coincidence or merely a cultural narrative, but rather it contains value, meaning, and deeper implications. As the old saying goes, "A person is as his name," meaning that a person's name is related to their characteristics, and a name can reflect one's personality and personal traits. In "Frog", the author skillfully links characters' names with their appearances and destinies, whether they are sad or joyful, making the novel vivid and dynamic. | ||||
