Abstract | ||||
Aim: The current study proposed to assess the volumetric root resorption of incisor after incisor intrusion using double slot brackets and reverse curve of spee arch wire. Materials and Methods: The sample comprised sixteen female patients, evenly allocated to two groups, aged between 18 and 23 years. Group A a maxillary incisor intrusion using low level slot and reverse curve of spee and in Group B using high level slot and reverse curve of spee. The measurement was carried out utilizing CBCT. Results: Age as well as deep bite percentage did not differ statistically significantly among the two groups. There was no substantial difference among two groups in volumetric root resorption of incisor following incisor intrusion completion. The pre- and post-value differences in both groups with respect to volumetric root resorption were of statistical significance. (P=0.000). Conclusion: In summary, both low level slot group and high level slot group demonstrated significant amount of volumetric root resorption of incisors between pre and post values. Conversely, no substantial difference was observed in volumetric root resorption between the two groups. | ||||
