Abstract | ||||
Purpose in this study a comparison was done between the effect of Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) versus autologous Injectable Platelets-Rich Fibrin (I-PRF) in the improvement of implant osseointegration and reducing the marginal bone resorption in the delayed implant in the maxillary arch. Subjects and Methods Twelve patients requiring implant-supported prosthesis in the maxillary arch. Patients were randomly divided into 2 groups: Group A: in which, six implants were implanted with the addition of I-PRF. Group B: in which, six implants were implanted with the application of LLLT. Clinically, implant survival was evaluated after implant placement in terms of absence of mobility and other symptoms. CBCT was done preoperatively, immediately and 6 months postoperative to evaluate progressive marginal bone loss. Reasonance Frequency Analysis (RFA) measurements were taken using an Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ) to measure implant stability. Implant stability immediately postoperative and 6 months postoperative, marginal bone loss, and bone growth were all measured and statistically assessed. Results Bone density, Probing depth (PD), Crestal bone level, Distance between the Implant shoulder and Mucosal Margin (DIM) After 6m: no difference between I-PRF and (Laser). Bone level: bone level increase was found in Laser, compared to I-PRF group. Conclusion In conclusion, LLLT could induce insignificant bone formation Greater than I-PRF. | ||||
