Abstract | ||||
Egyptian traditional fashion is a source of inspiration and innovation in the contemporary fashion industry, and the issue of preserving heritage is an important issue today considering the factors of change that have made people lose their identity. Rebuilding heritage values across generations requires delving deeper into the features of the material and intangible culture of society. Perhaps these research theses are an attempt to revive the revealed heritage and call for adherence to what has been engraved in the conscience of Egyptians over centuries. Building every building block in the edifice of Egyptian civilization does not require demolishing the ancient heritage. But rather preserving it. In a way that befits Egypt’s status and benefiting from it to emphasize aspects of Egyptian identity globally Among them are the traditional costumes that are unique to each Egyptian region. Perhaps this is what distinguishes the people of the Egyptian oases who wove stories through their traditional costumes, fortified their clothes with extremely precise and elaborate decorations and embroideries, and linked unity to the arches of their bright entrances and houses, crowned with domes that reflect the curves of the Nile, and are colored to degrees. This research seeks to study the aesthetic dimensions of traditional costumes in Egyptian oases, based on descriptive anthropological studies and focusing on describing and analyzing the costume with and embroideries, and pointing out the color connotations of costumes and decorations derived from the desert environment, while presenting design proposals for Arab women’s fashions using artificial intelligence techniques. | ||||
